I am on the way to Camp Bow Wow for the Cupids and Canine Event!

Here is Camp Bow Wow’s Press Release~~

MATCHING HEARTS AND PAWS!

Camp Bow Wow’s Cupids and Canine Event February 13, 2010

Boise, Id. – With Valentine’s Day approaching and puppy love in the air, Camp Bow Wow® locations across the nation will once again act as matchmaker for humans seeking their furry, four-pawed soul mates.

Camp Bow Wow Boise is hosting the second annual Cupids & Canines celebration from Noon to 3:00 p.m. on Feb. 13 at 3430 South TK Avenue.

The event aims to raise awareness and funds for a pack of worthy canine causes, including the Boise Humane Society, Meridian Valley Humane Society, Northwest Animal Companions, SNIP and Camp Bow Wow’s Bow Wow Buddies Foundation.

This loving event doubles as an adopt-a-thon for animals in need of forever homes and as a fundraiser for The Bow Wow Buddies Foundation and other humane organizations. Camps are partnering with local rescue groups who will have plenty of adoptable puppies and dogs on hand, as well as information on how to meet other worthy pups in need of good homes.

Throughout the month of February, matchmaking is happening across the country as humans and pups fall in love at Camp Bow Wow Cupids & Canines events.

“As we grow, it’s truly wonderful to see so many of our franchisees giving back to their communities by helping dogs and shelters in need,” said Heidi Ganahl, founder and CEO of Camp Bow Wow. “The money we raise for our foundation will not only support foster care and adoption programs, but it will also help fund research for canine cancer which takes one in four of our beloved pets.”

Guests at the Camp Bow Wow Boise Cupids and Canines event will enjoy snacks and beverages, and special guests! TJ Smith from Companions Training will be on hand to give training tips and discuss ways to correct difficult behaviors; Danielle from Broadway Vet will be educating all of us on H3N8 Canine Influenza; Pups the Traveling Labrador (http://pupsthetravelinglabrador.com/) will be making a special appearance and will be posing for photos with all our adoptable canine friends and visitors. SNIP will have a table and can offer opportunities for low cost spay and neuters; several other local rescue groups will be on hand to show their adoptable dogs and try to match loving humans with canine companions!

Raffle tickets will be available for sale to help raise funds for the participating shelters and rescues. Just a few of the items for raffle are: a one hour massage from Kelley Riviere CMT (Weed Woman Holistic Health), Lunch for four from Zeppole Bakery,  Gift Certificate from Hugo’s Deli, Basket of Goodies (Camp Bow Wow), Hand made wooden toy box from Mike Willett. These are just a sampling of the fantastic items up for raffle from local businesses. Door prizes will be awarded to some lucky visitors, such as a free year of Fido Friendly Magazine and other great items.

Puparazzi Press Release!

by Pups on February 5, 2010

I am excited to let  you know that I will be visiting Boston, MA in June and I will be aboard the Codzilla which was recently featured on American Idol.

I will also be aboard Boston Harbor Cruise Ships on one of their big Boats.

I get to be a captain on board then I am going whale watching, over to see the seals and penguins at the aquarium, the swan boats and ducklings in the Public Garden.

I am also going to have a Lobster dinner!

Look at the Codzilla Boat!

I will definitely have to wear my life jacket on this boat!

Codzilla is 70’ of marine aluminum and bad attitude. Codzilla seats (or was that “eats”) 135 people, so reservations are recommended. With two turbo-charged diesel engines driving state of the art waterjets, Codzilla roams the ocean with 2,800 horsepower. (We’re not talking sea horses, my friend.)

Plus with its unique hull design, Codzilla is capable of thrilling 360-degree turns and spinning on a dime.

On occasion, it’s hard to hear the crew and custom music over the blood-curdling screams of your fellow voyagers, so we’ve equipped Codzilla with a state of the art sound system and 30 marine-grade speakers to insure proper amplification.

This is a picture of  the pawsome Codzilla!

I get to be captain on the boat! I already have my captains license so I should be able to handle it!

This is the other line of boats that Boston Harbor Cruises has.

If you want to ride aboard the Codzilla or the Boston Harbor Cruise Ships check them out here!

I hope I get to see some of these whales while we are whale watching..

Do you think I need my scuba gear?

I already have my sailor suit ready so I am all set for my nautical adventure!

Also, I have been aboard alot of cruise ships and have my boating license so I can drive the Codzilla!

I have been on the Queen Mary II also!

I even sailed in a Regatta in Seattle and we won 2nd place.

I already have my CGC certificate from the AKC and passed with flying colors so the pawsengers do not have to worry!

This is me below when I did my test for my CGC Certificate. I got my certificate and rosette in the mail from AKC!

The other dogs were very friendly and they loved it when I participated in agility and the sit and stay command.  That part of the test was no prob for me. WOOF.

Adventures in Japan Part II

by Pups on February 4, 2010

I had so much fun traveling to Japan with my hosts Pet Relocation.  They sure are so gracious and nice!

This little Girl wanted to take me home. Isn't she adorable?

I had to go thru customs and be sniffed out!

I hitched a ride in front of the Shibuya Station!

The Korean Air stewards wanted to pose with me since I am such a celebrity!

I did have to hurry and pose with them because all the puparazzi were coming and I had to get out of there.

I did give out a few pawtographs though!

Did you know that if you are moving to another country and are worried about your pet flying, you can have Pet Relocation fly your pet to your new home with their trained specialists on board.  They will see that you get there safe and sound!  Check them out!   Pet Relocation
